History
PoliTemps was launched in 1996 by Robert Christian Jones from a small office in Dupont Circle in Washington, DC.
In between political and government employment, Jones temped for various staffing agencies, in both Austin, Texas, and Washington, DC. The challenges, frustrations, and rewards he encountered in his temporary work experiences led Jones to build PoliTemps, a legislative, government, and political staffing company. By launching PoliTemps, Jones sought to create a business that resonated with the political job seekers, but also had wider appeal to those interested in public affairs, public relations, media, and non-profits.
PoliTemps is designed to provide organizations with top-quality, professional personnel who, in addition to possessing unsurpassed communications, administrative and computer skills, are also politically astute. As president and CEO, Jones oversees the business development as well as marketing and management activities of the company.
Since 1996, PoliTemps has tripled in size and has added several staff for placement and recruiting. PoliTemps counts among its clients a premier roster of the top political consultants, public relations firms, associations, and non-profits in the DC area. PoliTemps has been featured in numerous newspapers, political resource guides and publications as a reliable source for news and information regarding politics, people, campaigns, and jobs.
